How Not to be a Spy     I plunge down the street at top speed, my hoverboard shuddering with the effort. Cars honk and swerve out of the way, the robots who drive them leaning out of the windows and beeping at me angrily. I ignore them. After all, who can really get angry at a SASH agent?

    I can see my quarry at the end of the street, a brilliant red hovercar with shimmering golden flames spray-painted on the sides. Amongst the chrome skyscrapers, it is almost painful to look at.

    The driver is fairly young, about twenty, and oddly enough, human. I smile and pick up the pace. Won't he just hate it that he is being pulled over be a cop younger than him

My brother just got back from a trip through Mongolia, and the photos he showed us got me itching to draw these people from my little fantasy world, because their lifestyle was so closely inspired by the Mongols of ancient times.

The guy in the foreground looking a little woozy is Max, a cartographer who decided to map the entire world. Mostly he's my excuse to draw/write about any new idea that comes to mind, although he does have his own story. Apparently he's not much of a rider :P.

I plan on doing a colored version later, but I'm afraid of ruining it. So now I at least have a black-and-white copy.

Two things people say about this picture that annoy me:
1. "Hey,cool! Llamas!" No. They're vicunas, the endangered cousin of the llama, who were valued by Aztecs for their fur, which is better than that of a llama's. They also have bigger ears. And are just,y'know...prettier than llamas ^^
2. "You know, if someone actually rode a llama/vicuna, it would break it's back." Well, I draw pictures of a fantasy world specifically so we don't have to worry about logistics like that. So chill. ;)

XD I'm kidding! I know what Vicunas are! :D

Also, glad you're back! Been missing your amazing picures and awesome stories! I love your style, I don't know if I've told you that before. Are we going to be seeing more of Max the Cartographer?

lol, good. No one's life is complete without knowing about Vicunas.

d'aww, thank you ^^. And yes, probably, there will ne more on him. Max is a favourite of mine, but the poor guy doesn't get a lot of attention because he isn't as dramatic as some of my other characters...
